On The Road...Our Summer Tours
For many choir members, our summer tours are like a family
vacation...great memories, unusual stops, the occasional
meltdowns, and lots of love and fellowship!

There is always a "mountaintop" experience on each trip, and all of
us have our special memories of a particular place, person,
concert, or stop.

We are blessed to share our faith through music, and we give and
receive blessings everywhere we go.

God gives us wonderful memories and experiences everywhere we
go!
NASHVILLE, 2001
We sang out on the
street before dinner

and in the kitchen at a
children's shelter
the bus had some bathroom issues on
the ride home, prompting a few
members to write a song about it, called
the "Porta-John Blues"
2002--Western Michigan, Across the Lake to Wisconsin, and Chicago

...we sang in a park at the beach in Ludington

...we were invited onstage to sing at the House of Blues in Chicago

...our Sunday night concert was at the Salvation Army in Chicago, where members of the choir
that sang at the House of Blues joined us in several songs!

...it was determined that more cameras needed to be brought on tour.
2003...New York City
For many of us, a "mountaintop"
experience was singing for the
firemen at Hell's Kitchen Fire
Station in New York City.

They had lost many men on 9/11,
and while they received many
visitors, no one had sung for them.

We sang "The Storm Is Passing
Over"

one of the guys said
"They heard you"
2004  Western Michigan
Our tour began with the first
(and only) mini-golf tournament.
we sang at a member's
childhood church in Grand
Haven, and sang a few
songs at the restaurant at
lunch too...
we sang at an outdoor
concert in Muskegon...
there was a stop at an
ice cream parlor too!
one member was unable to go, so we
made and held signs for her...
2005  WEST VIRGINIA
We sang at a wonderful Salvation Army, where
the congregation invited us to sing "good old West
Virginia hymns" with them--and we did!
rehearsal
break--fun with
percussion
instruments!
a stop at a nursing home--making friends wherever we go!
at a shelter
for battered
women
2006 TOUR TO NORTHERN MICHIGAN
singing at a rescue mission
a quick climb up a lighthouse
a great bus driver!
concert at an old schoolhouse
and our two youngest members
did a little front porch rocking too!
2007 TOUR TO LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY
sang at a wonderful Salvation Army
we began our tour at a
nursing home in Ohio
spent a little
time at
Churchill
Downs
helped with a church service
Sunday morning
and coffee hour,
of course!
2008 TOUR TO CINCINNATI
we sang at a Salvation Army, a community center, and even had a
picnic with a member's cousin and his family!
look quickly!  Jean is relaxing!
LET ALL THE
PEOPLE SAY
"AMEN!"
